I currently have a G1840, it was used on temporary basis for about 2 weeks, I'm gonna change to an i3 4170.
I've checked the CPU compatibility of this mobo and I found out the 4170 requires "newer" BIOS.

i3 4170 needs 2106 BIOS
G1840 needs 0804 BIOS
I'm quite sure that's the currently installed BIOS, otherwise the CPU wouldn't work.
Do I need to update my BIOS before changing to the i3?
I have very limited knowledge about motherboards, I'd be really thankful for some help!
