In order to maximise the number of SATA drives I can have attached to my PC, I boot from an internally mounted USB 3 SSD running from one of the internal USB ports on the motherboard.
Everything works perfectly, except for when it comes to booting up. As none of the SATA drives have a boot partition, the BIOS will not automatically boot from the USB SSD - Instead it always just boots into the BIOS and I have to manually select the USB SSD form the list to make it boot from that, which always works perfectly.
It's only really a problem when I need to reboot when I'm not physically at the machine as it's impossible to do so.
Does anyone know if it's possible to force the board to always boot from a specified USB drive? I've gone all over the BIOS and cannot find any way to do it .
Thanks!
