MOBO code D4? (well 04 on the LED but I'm assuming that is a D4)

So I am assuming I have a D4 code because 04 is not in the manual list of debug codes.

Apparently that is a "pci resource allocation error. out of resources" code

I have a Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97 mobo

I've tried re-seating the GPU and RAM and I also performed a clean install of my GPU drivers... After I performed a display driver uninstall and restarted my comp the code had cleared and went back to the standard AO code. But then after I reinstalled the latest driver from the Nvidia website (for my GeForce GTX 970) the code came back after my next comp restart

Solution
1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
2| Have you followed through with this guide when reinstalling your GPU drivers?
3| Are you on Windows 10 by any chance? If so then you should disable automatic device driver updates[/url][/]b prior to manually installing your drivers.
4| Speaking of drivers, you should make sure your BIOS and remaining device drivers(namely chipset an MEI) are up to date.

I would check the BIOS settings, revert them back to default, particularly regarding power state such as fast boot options and any lane speed configurations you may have changed, restart the POST procedure and see what error comes up, CMOS reset and or BIOS flash is good recommendation as stated above ^

I have only had this on a gigabyte thunderbolt board before and it related to the fact i was using up all the bandwidth from the lanes with the amount of cards i had in my system, they were not sharing nicely.. (1xGPU, 1x e-SATA Port Multiplier Card, a multi I/O card from Sonnet and some RAID controller along with an LTO5 tape drive that went via the controller) That however may not be applicable to your situation but is what was happening in mine. I removed cards and it came back.

The point about poorly written windows 10 drivers for your add on cards could also be a problem, i.e. i have a group of HP All in One systems and the Realtek NIC is so poor under load it just drops out and freezes the whole service. but the Intel one via a USB to ethernet adapter works fine, this after research was found to be the driver. I would think if you BIOS is up to date and your using the 'certified' Nvidia driver for whatever task you are doing it should be fine. (I say certfied as some applications only recommend specific drivers. i.e. Avid Media Composer)

Ideally we would need your system configuration information to give you more help. What do you actually have in your computer and which lane is your GPU in? You say you reseated your GPU, this should be in the x16 lane in priority.
