Hi i invested in a 980Ti last year in september and overall i've been nothing but impressed.
However recently i've been monitoring my temps and i've noticed that in some games the temps get rather high.
DOOM max settings 1080p 60fps = 50/60 degrees
FFXIV max settings 1080p 60fps = 60/70 degrees
Witcher 3 max settings 1080p 60fps = 70/80 degrees
Overall i'm not too bothered by these temps as there safe, however the thing that's worrying me is that when my GPU get's to these high temperatures i can at times catch a faint heat smell coming from my case.
The thing is however my case corsair 780t doesn't have anything really at the top area of the case except the dust filter so i was wondering if the hot air from within the case is at times getting pushed out through the top and i'm simply just smelling hot air from the GPU's radiator.
I'm really paranoid and this issue is driving me insane. There's definitly nothing wrong with the GPU from a visual stand point and i've checked to see that all cables are plugged in and stickers are removed.
The only times i ever catch the smell is when it's under heavy load and its not strong or anything, it just smells like hot air that's come out from the radiator.
Thanks for any advice.
Alex.
