I'm planning to save up my money for a few months for a Gaming PC that can perform better than the XBOX One and PS4 combined. Intel's CPUs are really great quality but at an expensive price. Does anybody here have a quality AMD setup I can save up around $400 for?

Here's what I am only looking for:
CPU
MoBo
RAM
PSU
Storage (Hard Drive)
PC Case

Solution
I know you said AMD, but they aren't really cheaper and they have no upgrade path. Not a fanboy, but just like to get my money's worth. An i3 will perform better in games than an FX 8xxx and can be upgraded to an i5 or i7 later. These current AMD CPU's will be a bottleneck anything over a GTX 970. You could add an RX 480 to the build below and would still be under $500.00 and would be a kick@55 gaming rig.

"Not a fanboy"
>Picks GTX 960

seems legit.

Lower power consumption to work with a the budget PSU. Not many decent PSU's in that price range. And did I mention using the RX 480? Don't be snarky.

The PSU wouldn't burn my house down or anything would it? I don't see a certification on it

yup. Here at Tom's we often put a lot of stock in that sometimes updated PSU Tier list, and I do reference it a lot in my suggestions. But there a lot of decent psu's that either haven
t been evaluated, or we get a little to stuck on "only from Tier 1 or 2" but the folks that run jonnyguru.com often discuss how they've contacted Tom's to update the list, and recognize that there are some PSU's that score higher at jonnyguru and hardwaresecrets, than they are listed here.
