Will 3.0 usb case work with a 3.1 usb motherboard

I am putting together a new gaming computer this summer and want to know if my msi z170A 3.1 usb motherboard will work with my corsair carban series 3.0 usb case

Yes as it should still have usb 3.0 headers on the motherboard. The usb 3.1 is most likely only on the back I/O ports of the motherboard, not for the front panels of a case.
