I recently bought 2x8 GB of corsair vengeance blue 1600MHz ddr3 ram to replace my 2x4 GB of corsair vengeance blue 2133MHz ram to help for rendering videos but after I installed them and powered on my computer there was no display, fan lights on my r9 390 where turning on and off. My razer blackwidow chroma and razer deathadder LEDs were not on, but the pc powered on. I have an MSI 907A-G43 mobo and I'm pretty sure it supports this ram, I have them in dual channel (0101)<--represents ram slots. I'm not sure on what to do to fix this issue so any help would be great.

Solution
take out one stick and try to boot, then try it with the other, it could just be a bad memory stick. also try switching slots, one might have been damaged. trying a clear CMOS cannot hurt either.
1) Shut down and insert one of the ORIGINAL sticks (see manual, but probably 3rd slot from left for single stick only) to verify it still works.

2) If so, shut down and SWAP with one of the new sticks. Make sure it's FULLY SEATED.

3) If that fails, try the other stick in that same slot

4) If still fails, I would guess there's a compatibility issue.

OTHER:
Verify your BIOS is up to date. Sometimes new memory profiles are added.

Other:
I'm not saying this is the problem, but I've seen this many times when one of the sticks wasn't fully seated.
