My pc isn't recognizing my msi geforce gtx 970 graphics card. The lights and fans also come on. The cord from my power supply for the graphics card has 2 6 pin connectors that have 2 more plugins next to them, making it an 8 pin if they're used. My power supply is a EVGA 500 B. On the graphics card there is an 8 pin port along side a 6 pin. If i plug the 8 pin I get video output (My hdmi cable is plugged into the mother board, not the graphics card, if i plug into the graphics card i get nothing no matter what i do) But if i plug in the other 6 pin, nothing. And if I plug in the 6 pin without the 8, also nothing. The computer starts up but i get no video output. When I look in my BIOS it says no graphics card is detected. I tried cleaning out the port on the motherboard, nothing. I'm new to pc building, I started about 2 weeks ago. So I'm sorry for not wording things correctly and such. But I really need assistance. (Also, the cord coming from the power supply for the graphics card is only one cord. The connectors branch off into 2, I'll include a picture. I apologize for the poor quality)
