Hello beautiful people of toms hardware..

I hope some PC Wiz's can give me a little hand here. With my booting issues (black screen, no detection)

Specs;
Fractal Define S Case
32GB HyperX Fury (4 x 8 GB 1866Mhz DDR3)
MSI 780 Ti, 3 GB
i7-4790k Devils Canyon
ASUS VI Formula Motherboard
AX860w Corsair
EKWB AiO 360 Predator Cooling.
Samsung EVO 850 500GB SSD

So the problem is that ive just finish putting it all together and when i try too boot it, my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster P2470) wont recognize it. It doesnt detect the PC. Ive tried a couple of thing too see if that had any effect:

Changing down too 16GB ram, no change there.... Connecting the monitor via HDMI directly via the motherboard (doesnt have DVI/VGA entrance on mobo) no change there... Trying two different monitor (AOC and another samsung T240), no change there...

I dont get any Q-code for a failure etc (00 Qcode)

Worth mentioning is that i installed Windows 7 on the SSD, via another PC since the Fractal S doenst have a slot for CD/DVD (other PC is 8GB Kingston DDR3, i5-2500k).

I hope any of you tech savy people can help me, or guide me in the right direction.

Solution
Because you had the black screen, 1st check the cpu socket to see it has the bent pin or not. If it does not, it may not have the right BIOS for the haswell refresh, because your MB is the Z87, it is worth to try update the BIOS by " USB BIOS Flashback " method. If you try that, you still have the same problem, either MB or cpu has problem, but it is most likely the problem is from the MB.

You need to download the BIOS into the USB, rename it, only connect the 24 pin + 8 pin into the MB, no CPU, RAM, other hardware. More info http://www.asus.com/microsite/2014/MB/New_4th_gen_Intel_processor_compatibility/#top
