PSP SD card setup

I got the MS PRO DUO adapter for my psp 1001 and just want to know how to set it up for it. i don't have the adapter yet (Still coming through mail) and want to get things ready. Is it possible to set up the SD card fully so it's ready when the adapter comes?

uhh, you just slid the SD card in the adapter and then put the adapter into the psp.
You're just changing the size of it is all really.

it's possible you might have to format it... but I highly doubt that.
