I have 2 computers, 1 ASRock 970 FX and a ASRock 990 FX Extreme 6. This has been from DAY 1. Just about every time I boot either one, I have to hit F-11 for the boot menu and choose the drive I want to boot from. Sometimes it will boot like its supposed to. I have to have these set up wrong or something. I've tried putting the boot drive first in the option 1 slot, I've put my DVD drive first, I have 3 drives but the first drive is my SSD. I have 2 SSD's and a 2 gb regular drive. Does the order of the drive SATA slots matter as far as booting? Say I have my boot drive in the SATA number 3 slot?? Somebody help me out, this is driving me nuts.
Thanks!!

Solution
your boot drive should be in the 1 sata slot and as main device in bios means option 1 the dvd reader should go at last to boot order and in sata connector ,system have to search to all device before it get a os to boot from .
