Solution
I can't comment on the laptop side of things, but this has everything you'd need short of a monitor and keyboard/mouse combo. Total price comes in at around 1400 once you include the non founders edition GTX1080 that should be showing up soon in stores. If you don't need the i7, you can shave some more money off by going with an i5-6500 CPU.

if you can save up like up to $200 more then you can go for a GTX 1080 and a water cooled 6700K also look each induvidual part up onlne as some websites do them cheaper
i personally like to save the biggest budget i can then decide to spend it in 1 go vs just buying parts when i have money for each induvidual part as the price for certain parts gett cheaper over time so by the time you have got all the parts you could have saved like $200 just for waiting till you had that money

At work I have a laptop with a mobile i5 processor.
At home I have a desktop, also with an i5 processor.
My laptop has 2 processor cores and a maximum speed of 3.0GHz
my desktop has 4 processor cores and a maximum speed of 4.2GHz
Guess which is faster.
The desktop was cheaper
