So i have been planning a build for a bit now and I just want to make sure that im not being a absolute idiot and missing something so could someone please have a look and see what they think.

I already own a optical drive that I am happy to keep using and the 1080 is just a placeholder for the 1070 as its not on the lists yet. This PC will be for gaming and video editing, Thanks for taking the time.

Many thanks Adam

Glad to be of help, I would personally wait until the 1070 has been out for a bit, the founders edition cards are often not the absolute best, when other companies release their variants (Like MSI) you'll usually get a higher quality card, the prices are also bound to go down...

Looks good to me, you seem to have everything in order, solid choice on everything. I'm assuming you have an operating system? Or are going to buy it?

Thank you very much, I have spent a very long time researching so I am glad to hear that. Well I have a copy of Windows 7 and I am very much a fan of windows 7 and I much prefer that to 8 or 10, So I am planning to stick with that and eventually upgrade the standard 7 with Office home and student.

Oh yeah I am aware of that, I will be waiting for EVGA to release the 1070 with ACX3.0 as they will soon do with the 1080 so I can get better thermals as I have seen lots of problems with thermal throttling on the 1080 with the stock cooler so I am presuming the 1070 will suffer the same as all of nvidias reference cards have done.
