Greetings,

My first post.

I would like to share my PC's Internet connection from one Adapter(1), and send it to my Router through other Ethernet Adapter(2).
Result: sharing Wifi

How to connect and config the router?

I've done quite a few tutorials, most of them out-dated, didnt succeed.

I have:
PC - Windows 10,
Network Adapter - Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection
Router - BT Home Hub 5 - Type A.

Router uses "WAN" port (Ethernet connector) to get broadband connection

Solution
The keywords are "Internet Connection Sharing".
Go to Network Manager, Adapter Settings, right-click on adapter connected to Internet, there is a Sharing tab. Once you enable it, your other adapter will be put into static IP address, with DHCP enabled. Use your WiFi router as access point only, disable DHCP.

Thank you for your responce.

I dont know much about DHCP, so at witch end do I disable DHCP? DHCP Server on router and on pc side? And what about static IPs? How do I configure IPs for the setup to work?

Also, do I connect Ethernet to router's WAN port? or standart ethernet port?

1. Connect to the router' LAN port, disable DHCP server there.
2. Complete the steps for the PC sharing the 'Net.
3. Open command prompt, run "IPCONFIG" command. Here you will see the two networks - one connected to Internet, one connected to the router. Note it's IP address, it is usually 192.168.0.1
4. Return to the router' configuration page. set it to static IP address, like 192.168.0.2.
5. You're ready to test other PCs connected to the router.

1.Go to Network Settings.
2.Right click on the Adapter that is connected to the internet.
3.Select Properties.
4.Switch to the Sharing tab and check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection
5.Its important to make sure that the router is configured to "Obtain IP Address automatically." This can usually be done by connecting the router to a PC via a LAN port and using the web browser. The details should be in the routers manual.
