New to pc gaming trying to find a good build thats 1080p 60 frames and runs most games on max settings

then my man, you know you're spending too much on peripherals. getting a GTX 1070 with the following isn't too much isn't it +100$ or so, its still cheaper than your current one

About general components, yes, its a nice build, i would change 2 things:

1) the CPU cooler, mainly for the version of the CPU (k). Maybe in the future you want to OC and i'm not sure how that cooler works with a nice overclocking. Try getting an EVO 212.

2) The GPU. i have nothing against GTX 970, but, GTX 1070 is almost here, i would wait for the aftermarket cards (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI) or why not wait the GTX 1060 OR AMD solutions (the new POLARIS cards).

After that, its a pretty build. OS in the SSD, some games for fast loading, and blue for data an info.

Spend a little more for a gtx 1070. You will be doing yourself a huge favor. Titan X for 380$. Amazing. Here see this. SSD is good but cheap and 16GB RAM

tbh this build is a little pricey in my range i dont think the 1070 could do that much improvements that i necessarily need
