How does the a8 7650k run with one 8gb stick of ram at 1600mhz compared to 2 sticks in games
If possible could i get the performance of then one stick and the two sticks if you can find it easily enough

Solution
You probably won't notice the difference between 1 stick or 2. A single stick (as you are probably aware) limits your RAM to single channel mode for about a 10% performance hit at most. And then only in RAM throughput.
The real problem comes when you try to match the 2nd stick with a 1st one. Dual channel memory is very picky about the two sticks matching exactly... timings, speed, voltage, even date of manufacture and lot number. That is why dual channel memory is sold in MATCHED pairs. Sometimes mis-matched pairs will have errors and cause problems. Sometimes not.

clutchc - you're not taking into account if OP is actually using the 7650K as an APU. The iGPU takes a massive dive in performance with single channel RAM, because even with dual channel it's memory bandwidth limited.

I'll try to dig up some benchmarks.
