Hello I will be upgrading my PC this year with the release of the 1070 and I am looking to change up my system a bit. I'm thinking some form of I-5 with a nicer end motherboard and the 1070 of course. I plan on getting the MSI non reference card when it comes out ~$350 and would like advice on what exact CPU/MB combo to get for under $500 or less I don't know what to expect for cost its been a while since I've done a lot of research on this topic. My current specs are

GTX 770
AMD 6350
GIGABYTE UD3 gaming Motherboard
Windows 10
8 GB Ram
Roswell Bronze 650W power supply
2 TB WD Blue HDD 7200 RPM
256 GB Kingston SSD

I mainly use my PC for gaming and would like to be able to pump out most games at max setting at 60+fps consistently. I mainly play RPG's, MOBAs, and FPS. I had heard the I-5 6600k was a great one to go for, opinions?

Thanks,
VoitreX

go intel best set ups around the newest i5s are great go this way recomend it goth with16gig ram kit decent psu & a decent motherboard from msi asus gigabyte makes sure ins an unlockable board to go with ur cpu

Unless you are overclocking no. And if you don't go with the i5-6600k then you can also drop the z170 chipset and go with something cheaper because you are not overclocking.
