Hi guys,

I have bought a Core i5 6500 CPU and I do not want to use the generic Intel cooler. I want to buy a CPU cooler which is more effective than the generic Intel cooler.

Below is a list of CPU Coolers which I can afford. I want to buy the best one for my CPU among these. i.e the one which will keep the temperature of the CPU as low as possible.

cooler master X Dream i117
cooler master Hyper TX3 EVO
cooler master GeminII M4
cooler master blizzard T2
cooler master Hyper 103

Can someone please adivce which one will be best to keep the temperature of my CPU down both when idle and under load. Please note that I do not intend to overclock. I have searched the net but there were no tests performed on these coolers. Maybe, some of you here have used these coolers and you can share your experiences.

Any inputs would be most welcomed.

Regards

The GeminII is really cool, should perform well, and isn't massive. Though if you can fit it in your case, why not get a Hyper 212 Evo? It's probably cheaper than anything else on this list and its damn amazing for sub $30. Otherwise, the Hyper Tx3 is good too (not as good as the 212 though). Never heard of the other two so i can't really say much about them.

Look at some reviews about the Hyper 103,it's good price/performance wise.It uses a backplate so you might have to take the motherboard out if you have no cut out in the motherboardtray. For an easier installation will the Hyper TX3 EVO do fine as well via the push pins.

This is actually my first build. I am assembling my own PC. I have already bought all the components except for the CPU cooler. If I choose the Hyper 103, will it be easy to install if my motherboard has not yet been fixed in the PC chassis?
