How to use the Internet without phone cable?

So, I want to do some cable management with my PC but the phone line plug is in the other side of my room. I want to move the router from there and plug it near my desk, while having it connected with ethernet cable to my PC, without having a phone cable. How do I do that and do i need a modem? Thanks a lot

It sounds like you have a DSL modem/router combo. You will have to have a cable to the phone to have internet. If you have carpet, you can usually tuck a phone cable down around the edge of wall-to-wall carpet.

You either have a long Ethernet cord or you have a long phone cord. You don't have many choices here.
