So I got a new case for my computer. I transferred everything from my old case too my new case. I plugged in the power supply and switched it on and my whole computer booted up. It's working like it would normally would except that the power button will only reset the computer and so does the shut down command in windows. The only way I can shut it down is by turning off the psu. Does anyone know what might be the problem?
Computer will only boot up when the power supply is turned on. The power button on the tower will only reset the computer.

Are you sure that you plugged start switch in right place and not in place of reset button ?
As for it starting on it's own as soon as you turn main switch on, look in the BIOS, there should be a setting to choose what happens in case of power loss, it's probably set to resume.

I looked through my BIOS and couldn't find the setting you told me. Now I was kinda thinking that it maybe my front panel connectors that are causing the issue but I don't know how to set it up on my motherboard since my mother board doesn't have labels. The connectors I received with the case are, 2x power led 1 with 2 pins the other with 3. power sw and hdd led. No reset connector came with it. The front panel pins is 2 rows, 6 on the top 5 on the bottom. The second from the left on the bottom has no pin.
