my dell inspiron n5040 upgrade ram not working windows! ASAP :(

my pc is god damn slow for 3gb RAM
so I bought 2x4gb PC3 DDR3 1333

I researched and dig some of the compatibility but once I've replaced my old RAM to the NEW one after windows logo it resets back.

I've tried - removing battery, removing the backup battery, holding the power button to 30 sec, and putting it back. but it doesn't work! i freakn hate this DELL for upgrade, they don't even have RAM settings in BIOS.

any help would do guys

You'd usually get better help for RAM in the RAM section. Maybe a mod should move this?
Also, we need more specs to go off of. Dell service tag is usually enough to look up. Sometimes the computer will only support up to 4 or 6 GB.

i've researched that it is compatible with 8gb tho,

specs:
OS windows 8.1 pro
Inspiron n5040
x64-base PC
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPI M50 @2.27GHz, 2261 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logic

actually when I inserted the 2x4GB ram the bios detected my Memory but once I open up windows it doesn't work. :(

I've already tried that but when the memory ram's turn in diagnostic the screen turns blue
