Recently installed new SSD in my PC, it is a MSI GT60 2OC-022US laptop I tried to reformat my original HDD with windows 10 and I couldn't get it to work right in UEFI so I swapped it to legacy and did a fresh install of windows 10 on my SSD, now I cant figure out how to get my PC back to UEFI mode. When I put the original HDD back in and try to run that is will not boot at all. I created the windows 10 install disk with the microsoft media creation 10 ISO, I also created a MBR partioned windows 10 bootable USB with RUFUS and a GPT partioned windows 10 bootable USB with RUFUS. I can't find anything else to try.
CPU - Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor
RAM - 8 GB DDR3 RAM
Original HDD - 1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
New SSD - Samsung EVO 850 500GB

Solution

not just installing hdd but clearing the cmos also by pulling out the motherboard battery for 15 min

When I try reinstalling the original HDD it will not boot just says insert boot media or disk press any key to continue or something similar did it this morning don't remember exact words. Put in UEFI bootable thumb drive and says same thing. Thinkin if I put in the regular ISO disk it will just format that hard drive into legacy mode as well.
