A10-7850k, AMD says thermal margin is 50-60c, all other programs are saying the idle temps are around 60c?

I'm trying to make sense of the temp readings I am getting from this processor. AMD is saying the Thermal margin is around 50-60c on avg but every other program I try is saying I'm idling at around 58-60c which would seem far too hot. Which is correct?

I built a PC with an A10 and I couldn't get anything to give me a reasonable temp except AMD Overdrive. The only way to get an unbiased answer would be to use an infrared thermometer on the base of the heatsink. That would be the best you can do to determine "truth". You can check the BIOS at boot time and compare against the other values, but the CPU will have to work pretty hard to complete boot.

Should I just trust amd overdrive then? I felt the heatsink and there's no way it's idling at 60c.
