How to control the CPU fan speed?

Recently build my first computer. The cpu is a FX 4350. The fan is the loudest thing on there. On idle it is at 4k rpm, at max it hit 6k a while ago. How do I get it to be silent? It is keeping the CPU at around 30C. I ordered a liquid cooler but its not coming til friday. Anything I can do til then? The rest is a AsRock motherboard. I do not know a whole lot about PCs so explain simple to me please. Thank you.

If the Motherboard allows for the fan to be controlled then there are programs that can be downloaded to controll the fan speed, but it also depends on if the fan can be controlled.

Yes I think that fan can be controlled, ow if you can post your mobos name I can find out for you.
