I'm trying to build a PC and I managed to install a fresh working Windows 7 on a new SSD but when I try to boot it with this new PC, I'm getting this "Reboot and select proper boot device" problem. I know the Windows 7 on the SSD works because I tried booting it with another PC and it works fine.

- I only have this one storage device on this new PC so it's not a boot order problem.
- I know the SSD is recognized by the computer because it shows up in the BIOS.

Any advice?

Thanks

Solution
which computer did you do the windows 7 install on? you have to install windows 7 while connected to the mainboard/cpu that you plan on running that hard drive on.
