I'd suggest you read the negative reviews carefully. I'm in the same boat and asked for advice today on this same issue. There seems to be a high failure rate with sub $100 drives and if you research the entire web not just the site with the reviews you'll see a pattern form as to failure rates.
For example if you use the SAMSUNG 850 EVO on newegg has 680 reviews but 100 of those are 3 eggs and under and alot of the 5 egg reviews are about people that moved to the drive saying how fast it is ect. Not effected by failure rates yet so you have to take that review with a grain of salt.
