Hi all!

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I need to preface my remarks by saying this is the first time I have ever attempted to add RAM to a computer. So I am on a steep learning curve.

I have a desktop: Gateway SX2370-UR30P.

I recently bought these sticks of RAM from Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231740

I popped them in today and my computer does not see it.
I matched all the specs to the best of my ability (voltage, latency, speed).
The Newegg specs say they are compatible with a Llano system – which is what I have.

Here is a link to the screenshot of the HWINFO64 summary of what I have.
(Please note this is a screenshot with the GSkill RAM installed).

Also, this is my second try at finding compatible RAM for my computer.
My first try was this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233192
When I called Corsair technical support, he told me that a different set of RAM was right for my system.
Newegg didn’t have this latter RAM;
So I went with the GSkill instead since the Newegg specs said they were compatible.

I also found this specific GSkill memory on their website:
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1333c9d-8gis
I do not know how to read the GSkill QVL, so couldn’t really tell if I had a match.
USA GSkill tech support was not of any help when I sent them the HWINFO screenshot before I bought the GSkill (at least the guy who answered my email wasn’t helpful), so I just figured I had to do the good ol’ trial and error method.

So, my question:
Is this GSkill RAM compatible? Should it work?
Or is it me (given that I wasn’t able to get the Corsair to work either)?

I am pretty sure I pushed the sticks into the slots (I watched a ton of videos and read a lot of articles). The latches are up, it’s securely in place (I can load a pic of the RAM in the slots if necessary). So, I don’t think it’s a case of bad connection.

Is there something I am missing here?

Thanks again for any help!
I just really really really want this to work, since I am nowhere near ready to upgrade to a Windows 10 system.

I solved it. Whew. I needed to push the RAM down hard until the clips locked into place by themselves. (I had been "assisting" the clips). Now the RAM works. YAY!
