3200 Ram running at 2900

Solution
problems:
1. your CPU may not support speeds that high.
2. your mobo may not be able to support that high ram
3. the default clock is 2926, the XMP clock is 3200, or it is non-default.
solutions:
1, 2, and 3: try going into bios and manually setting the ram to run at 3200 MHz or enabling XMP profile. if it does not boot, then reset CMOS and you know your system cannot run 3200. if it works, then you know either 3200 is XMP (which I believe it it for this model.)
3.. also the XMP is 3200. the default may not be 3200. enable XMP.

I agree. also the sticks themselves have been known for messy voltage stuff too.

Okay, my bad. I had run the Asus 5 touch overclockn thing and apparently that had turned off XMP. Turning it back on has fixed the problem.

Thank you all for the help.
