Hi all
Thinking of getting a new GPU around the beginning of next year, already decided on AMD but not sure whether to go with two 490s in crossfire (Polaris 10) or waiting for the new Vega architecture, depending on when it's released.

Mainly gonna be gaming (aiming for 1080p60 on Dx12, thinking of switching to Linux if Vulkan gets popular enough though) but also doing a bit of media creation on the side. Want something powerful but preferably not too power hungry and also low-heat (my case circulation isn't great, looking at options to improve it)

Spec:
AMD 8350 (stock 4Ghz, 8 thread)
8GB Corsair Vengeance (Will be upgrading to 16GB soon)
EVGA NEX 650W PSU (Will prob upgrade if using crossfire, depends on TDPs at release)
AsRock 970 Pro3 R2

Any input is really appreciated...

Solution
First, the obvious answer: No one can recommend a card that is not out in the wild yet. Also, current information says AMD won't release a high performance GPU until Vega. Polaris is mid and lower end.

With that out of the way, if you're going to stay using 1080p@60Hz, then don't bother on even thinking of upgrading as of yet if you have something along the lines of a 7970Ghz/280X/380X or a GTX680/770/970. Anything above those cards is going to keep you happy until next gen even.

Cheers!

You are literally asking a question for cards that do not exist as of yet and there is no information available on them what so ever. Do you honestly expect any information anyone tries to give you on those specific models to be relevant let alone useful?
