what psu should I upgrade to? (alienware x51 r2)

You're dealing with an Alienware X51 R2 unit which has no room for even an SFX PSU, if it did you'd yet need to modify the internals to accept the unit in your system and drive said system. According to this post on Dell's support site, you're fine with a maximum of a GTX660Ti which in hindsight is has more power draw than the GTX960 based off of this article.

You're good without a PSU upgrade! ;)
