After realizing today my bios was on the original version I decided to update it. I grabbed the BIOS update from MSI's site and ran it with no other programs running. Everything went fine until it was time to restart the computer. It initiated the reset after the timer but the computer never turned back on. After this, it became unresponsive to the power button. I gave it about 20 minutes and came back to try and turn it on. It posted to a change in bios detection screen and asked f1 to setup or f2 to continue. I noticed the new bios version was displayed at the top of the screen. I hit f1 and the computer powered off and became unresponsive again.

I have pulled the video card to get access to the mobo battery. If I pull it and put it back in the computer will power on for 1-2 seconds and then power off. In that short time I see case and cpu fans running. No beeps or display on monitor. It then again becomes unresponsive. Have I bricked my mobo?

Specs:
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
Intel i5 Sandybridge
AMD Radeon HD 6970
Corsair AX850 PSU

Solution
Am I correct in assuming this can be used instead of moving the jumper or removing and reinserting the battery on the motherboard? If I press it the power light goes off on the motherboard and does not automatically come back on when released. I am almost certain it use to come back on shortly after releasing the button on its own.
Yes, it is the button you can use for, but you use it in the wrong way. You have to shut down your PC, even take the power core off the outlet if you want, then press it, and trun on the PC again. If you did it while the PC is still on, that means you don't clear anything.

Unfortunately that did not work. It powered on for a second then right back off.

Couple updates that may help anyone with a possible solution:
I have a CL_CMOS button on the back of the computer. Am I correct in assuming this can be used instead of moving the jumper or removing and reinserting the battery on the motherboard? If I press it the power light goes off on the motherboard and does not automatically come back on when released. I am almost certain it use to come back on shortly after releasing the button on its own. I have to hit the power button on the board once to turn the light on and again to attempt to power up the machine.

If the mobo power light is on and I remove power to the PSU the light will remain on. Leading me to believe the battery is still good. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
