computer wont boot after restart with graphics card

I recently built a new pc, but it only runs with graphics card if I do this steps

1. Remove graphics card, turn on computer, this time computer will boot, turn off computer.

2. Install graphics card, turn on computer. this time the computer will boot with a graphics card.

however, after a shut down, computer wont boot again. i need to repeat those steps in able to boot it with gc.

It would help if details of the computer components were given (CPU, PSU, memory, HDD's, SSD's, extra fans, video card, extra cards).

If the video card requires an auxiliary power supply (most cards require them now) such as a 6 pin or 8 pin connector, make sure that the video card auxiliary power connectors are connected properly.

Make sure all other cables are connected properly also.

The PSU may be faulty or unpowered. Try the PSU in another computer, and/or try another known working PSU.
