Hello,

Im looking to buy GTA 5 for PC but if my PC cant handle it at a decent quality then im not going to bother. Im wondering if anyone would be able to tell me or give me any sort of indication at how well it would run with my rig.

Motherboard: MSI M170A M3 gaming motherboard
CPU: Intel i5 6600
GPU: Asus GTX Turbo 960 4GB OCing editon
A 2TB SSD with about 1.7Tb left on it (fairly new build)

+Scarernator I don't know how many FPS you'll achieve or what resolution that you're playing at, but if I had your system specs, I wouldn't hesitate to buy GTA 5. It is so much fun, especially the online component. In addition, if you purchase it on Steam, you'll have the option of returning it as long as your total game play is under two hours. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I were you. GTA 5 and Rocket League are some of my most played games. Enjoy.

1920X1080.
So wont go any higher then that im assuming. Does that mean ill get better performance as my resolution wont be set as high?

No, resolution and FPS have an inverse relationship. The higher the resolution, the lower your Frames Per Second will be. But regardless, I wouldn't overthink this issue. From what you've written, it appears that the only options that you considering are either to purchase the game, or not purchase the game. I recommend that you purchase the game through Steam. If you don't like the performance then you can return it, or upgrade in the future to a GTX 1070. Honestly many people play this game with specs WAY below yours. Don't overthink it. Just buy the game and enjoy it. It's so much fun.
