Greetings.

Since i upgraded my pc from w7 to w10 it seems my bios settings have been reset, or some of it atleast.
I had settings in the bios on the profile X.M.P so that my Ram works on 1600mhz. but now with w10 When i boot I get a startup message that says overclocking failed and puts it back to default(else pc wont start).
anyone knows what the problem is and how to fix it?

pc specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)
Mobo : P6X58D-E
BIOS: BIOS Date: 08/06/12 09:44:07 Ver: 08.00.15 (no newer version available)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory: 12288MB RAM
GPU gtx970:
power supply: seasonic mi2d 850W atx12v

Edit: Fixed the problem with buying new parts.

Thank you for your time.

1| You'll need to verify if your BIOS is up to date there is a version 0803.
2| Your board doesn't have official support from Asus to be Windows 10 compatible so one of two options you can take is:
a. Revert to the last known OS that didn't exhibit the aforementioned issue.
b. Run all your drivers under compatibility mode:
Right installer>Properties>Compatibility Tab>Windows 7 [from drop down menu]

In retrospect it'd be best if you'd downgrade your OS or upgrade your parts. The former would be a cost effective route though.

Ty for trying to fix my problem. i already fixed it with buying new stuf.
but seeing the solutions you posted i already did do that when i was busy with it..
1: The bios was up to date.
2: a. i did revert the OS to w7, it but the problems stayed that were caused with w10.
b: did a lot of stuf with drivers, nothing worked.
