So, I bought an ASUS GTX 970 STRIX GPU a few weeks and other stuff so I could built my first desktop. Everything went fine but yesterday when I playing LoL and streaming I noticed that only one fan was spinning.
I searched around here about that problem and got a few things to try, I took this long to notice cause I've playing LoL and streaming more lately and that isn't enough to make the GPU turn the fans on, mostly...
With other games that put a bit more "stress" on the GPU both fans spin.
Yet, with MSI Afterburner I tested the fans with 100% speed, both worked fine and I was decreasing until the level of both not spinning.
So, conclusion: Until 32% both fans don't spin. At 33% only the fan closer to the back of the case spins. At 34% both work. So yeah, the gap is really small -> 1%
But unfortunaly that looks like the gap that is sometimes with LoL + stream and it affects a bit of my FPS.
I would like your opinion if it's worrying enough to sent it to RMA or if they're going to even trade the card? I don't really care because of the FPS drops, all the other heavy games turn both fans on, and I still get 150 fps on league. It's more about my GPU "lifetime" and if it can give problems in the future or if it's already a signal of a future problem with one fan.
I still need to take it out of the PCI-e slot and put it back in but I doubt it solves something.
Sorry for the long post and any english error, it's not my native language.
