Hello,

I have the final version of Razer Synapse that can be found on Razer's webpage. Despite it initially showing "Downloading personal preferences from cloud" window things, when I hover on the tray icon of Razer Synapse it instantly disappears/closes. I have went to the events viewer and found this particular event log:

Code:
Application: RzSynapse.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException

   at System.Windows.Application.Run(System.Windows.Window)
   at Razer.Emily.UI.SynapseApp.Run()
   at Razer.Emily.UI.AppEntryPoint.Main(System.String[])

Can somebody tell me why does this occur or how can I fix this? Any information would be nice.
I run Windows 10 64bit, if further information is required I can provide as best as I can.
Thank you for your time.

(P.S: I've tried:
System Restore to a previous point where Synapse was an older build, it worked until once again I updated it.
Repair Razer Synapse
Uninstall Razer Synapse completely and re-install it.)

Solution

Alright, sorry I just wanted to check that in case you got confused (some people do). Anyway, I also have Razer Synapse on my PC - (Razer is in my name, I'm sort of a big fan of their gear/presentation). However, my Razer Synapse has not been updated yet to the latest version, so it's entirely possible that Razer has dished out a bad update.

Either:

1) I would recommend going back before the update (System Restore) and staying like...

When you say "close" do you mean that it just disappears from the tray or does it legit close (no longer visible in Task Manage/no longer running)?

Legit close.

I mean it both disappears from the tray and totally gone from the task manager in both processes and details tab. It ceases to run.

2) You could try reinstalling everything and see if that helps.
3) Update all the Razer drivers for your Razer gear (Windows Update).

Hope this helps :)

- Ok I was just having this problem a couple minutes ago. Not quite sure was instigates Synapse to close at launch, but what I do know is how I fixed it.

- So below I have listed in order the steps I did to fix the problem not quire sure if these steps will fix the problem or even if there safe (SO YOU'VE BEEN WARNED) but I would give them a try.

- NOTE: I do own a variety of Razer Chroma peripherals such as the Razer Blackwidow Chroma, Razer Mamba, Razer Firefly, Razer Orbweaver, Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma, etc... So having Razer's software not work properly would bug the crap out of me.

1) Uninstall Razer Synapse and Razer Chroma SDK Core Components.
2) Delete the Razer folder in your (Program Files (x86) folder.
3) Restart your computer.
4) Install an earlier version of Synapse before there were issues. http://www.razersupport.com/software/synapse/ or http://drivers.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&...
5) Install synapse BUT! don't let it install any updates (you'll see a box in the bottom right of your screen if installing updates) open your task manager and close the synapse updating process if installing updates during synapse installation.
6) Run synapse you'll be prompted to sign into your Razer account, and update the software. At this point you can update the Synapse software. You'll also probably be prompted to restart your computer.
7) After you've rebooted launch synapse and your software should be good to go. At least these are the steps I took and my Synapse works perfectly right now.
