Toshiba Laptop Won't Turn On

My toshiba laptop won't turn on, I was using it and left it on when I went downstairs for a short while but when I came back up it was off and when I press the power button it flashes 5 times and that's it I presumed it must of run out of battery which I thought was weird as it was nearly fully charged when I was using it, however I put it on charge and left it for a couple of hours until I just noticed the charging light isn't on so I tried to turn it on and the same thing happen flashed 5 times but nothing else I've tried holding the power button down for a while but it just flashes 5 times and then a few seconds later it flashes 3 more times but also nothing happens. The laptop is relatively new, is there any help anyone could give me please.

So I have taken the battery out and removed the charger I then held the power button for more than 30 seconds I then replaced the battery however it still remains the same will not power up and the light flashes 5 times.
