Hi there,

I've just joined Tom's Hardware and this is my first post, so sorry if i do or say something wrong. :/

A few months ago, i built my first ever rig.
Below are the specs -

MSI Z97 Gaming 5 LGA1150 Motherboard
Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX Power Supply
MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
Intel Core i5 4690K CPU
Western Digital WD 1TB 3.5"
OCZ Trion 100 Series SATA III 2.5" 480GB TRN100-25SAT3-480G
Noctua NH-L9I Low Profile CPU Cooler
SilverStone Raven RVX01 Black/Red Mid Tower Case w/Side Panel Window
Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (4x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz Memory Red CMY8GX3M2A1866C9R

Its been insanely amazing, and I've done what i never thought i would do, which is become a full blown PC Gamer! :D

But I'm here because when I'm gaming, my temp gets to around 67-69°C. When I'm recording games while i play, the recording freezes a lot (not sure if this is related).
I would really love some suggestions such as if i should upgrade my cooler to liquid cooling (if its even possible with my case), wether or not i should upgrade my video card yet and sell the current one i have, or if should upgrade my mobo or cpu?

Even just some things i should keep in mind (cleaning etc).

Im just so new to this, so any help would be massively appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Temperature is perfectly fine you do not need to upgrade cooling. Your motherboard, CPU and GPU also aren't the problem necessarily.

Its likely related to how you are recording. Now first off what resolution and fps are you recording at? What program? If you're trying to record at high resolution and framerate the PC may not be able to handle all that and play the game. You may want to consider adding a game capture card such as:

For best performance...

There are other members who are more knowledgable than I on game capture as well who hopefully will chime in.
