Okay, so I have a little problem.

Currently I have two 60hz monitors with a GTX 960 and I need to choose between 2 things:

GTX 1070 and one 144hz monitor

- OR -

Just a GTX 1080

Which one should I get?

Solution
You might as well get the 144Hz monitor now. I'm sure there are games that you're playing right now that the GTX 960 or R9 380 is capable of putting out more than 60 fps. As far as SLI 1070's, only if you're going 1440p or 4K. SLI 1070 is way overkill for 1080p, even at 144Hz.

Im in the same boat. I was leaning towards a 1070 now to afford a decent monitor. I'm currently on a 1080@60 monitor with a radeon 380.
Any recommendations on something to get to try and benefit from >60Hz now and then go 144Hz ~ when I get the 1070?

1440p would be pretty cool.

Is this a good one?

(I can't choose from many monitors, as only a small amount of them gets shipped to Finland)

Mmh.
How about this one?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Predator-XB240HAbpr-24-inch-Monitor/dp/B00P67ZW3C/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1465208141&sr=8-9

G-Sync is literally expensive, I would get a 27" FreeSync monitor with the same price.

nvm, it's not 1440p. The search will continue.

Edit: Ok, so there are no 1440p G-sync monitors that get shipped to Finland. I could always order from a Finnish online store, but it's usually at least 150€ more expensive.

Edit v2: Yeah, the cheapest one will be 899€. No thanks.

If you're not going to get a monitor with g-sync then the first monitor you linked is good. Some other alternatives are BenQ XL2730Z, Acer XG270HU, and Acer XB270HU, with the last one being IPS, which offers better contrast and viewing angles. Keep in mind sometimes these monitors need calibration to really look good. In any case, if you play a lot of FPS games, it'll be tough going back to 60Hz after playing on a 144Hz. I hope you enjoy whichever monitor you choose to get :)

Aaaaaand RIP. The first monitor doesn't get shipped to Finland anymore (I don't know if it ever got shipped, but still).
Well, now I need to find another monitor, as those ones you linked are too expensive.

Would this be good? (yeah, not G-Sync, but other stuff)

Edit: Oh god, that's the one linked first. I guess I'll just buy that. :p
