I'm upgrading my G3258 and 750ti to an i5-4690k and the MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G. I currently have a 500w PSU, but I feel that it will not be enough for the upgrades, along with future ones.

Will a 600w PSU be enough for the two?

Solution

Yeah but still not very well performing

Two GTX 1070s would be 300W. Add in the 4690K he's looking at 450W max load. Overclocking, more like 550W. I think something like an FSP Hydro G 650W would be a good choice, sweet spot for efficiency since gaming load is generally about 60-70% of the max throttle load.

Sorry, when I said "Will a 600w PSU be enough for the two?", I meant whether the 600w will be enough for a build with the 4690k and the 1070, not two 1070s hehe.

Do you think that the 600w will be enough for the 4690k and 1070 in that case?
