WD my passport ultra 2tb making a clicking sound

Solution
Hi there Rushi1997,

That is really unpleasant. :(
Unfortunately, clicking sounds could indicate some mechanical flaw.

Is the data stored on the drive really important? In case it is, you will need to contact a data recovery company. You can check WD's Data Recovery Partners out: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=ANIiiG
Is the drive under warranty? In case it is, then you can just contact the place you got the drive from or WD's Support and eventually RMA the drive. Keep in mind that if you go with this, you will get a replacement but you will not get your data back.

Apart from all these, sometimes externals could make clicking sounds when there is not enough power provided. So, you can attach the drive with another USB...
