I'll be building my budget gaming/editing pc soon and I'm not quite sure on my GPU yet. I want to be able play games like Overwatch and Battlefield 4 in 1080p with nice frame rate. Also, is it worth extra 20$ for 4GB versions of 960 and 380? And btw, where I live, prices are:
GTX 950 2GB (Gigabyte) - 150$
GTX 960 2GB (Asus) - 200$
GTX 960 4GB (Gigabyte) - 215$
R9 380 2GB (Sapphire) - 235$
R9 380 4GB (Sapphire) - 255$

I can't really afford to go with 390/970, and I'm not sure if that's even required in my case. My CPU will be i5 6500/xeon e3 1230v5.

I think its worth it. With 960 you will get 4gb vram (useful in some games, not all) and same performance per $ as with 950. If you can afford it go with the gtx 960.

I would wait for the amd rx 480 in the end of the month. The price will be around 200 $ with performance better than r9 390 with lower power consumption.

From this 4 gpu-s R9 380 4gb is faster but not by much compared to 4gb gtx 960. And at this price I would go with gtx 960 4gb.
