I have asus mobo that I just updated the bios on trying to fix this issue.
Lets start at the beginning I guess. I put in a CM 212 evo cpu fan. Started having my heroes of the storm game crash on me. Started having my pc eventually bluescreen while gaming and crashing.
I looked to CPU temps. They are not chilly, but within high end of allowable range for my i5 sandy bridge. As soon as I alt tab to view them, they fall even more. I dont ever see them too high.
So, convinced my gpu or ram are the issue, I go to take out some ram.
I take out older 2011 made gskill x2 4gbs. Now still have x2 8gb gskill installed.
All of the sudden my mobo reads half my mem. At this point it started reading the 16 installed as 8gb.
I try all kinds of different slot and stick swapping configs. Nothing helps. Its on half mode.
Update bios. Still on half mode.
WTF?
Everything I have done to fix my computer (including getting a new pc fan at the beginning) has made my pc suck more. Any help here? Thanks!
