So i've been running a phenom ii x4 950 til now with my 600w psu and amd 6850. everything ran fine.
I got an acer aspire from someone with a intel i5 4440 with the same amount of ram. its a micro-atx board.
It runs fine but the motherboard won't detect the gpu i installed(amd 6850). I'm using the same psu, and the i5 uses less power and I know it can support the gpu as the other mobo runs it fine. the only parts that have changed are the mobo/cpu/ram. everything else is the same. due to the cpu taking less power it cant be a power issue and i know the card functions.

the card powers on, but i get no picture and integrated wont work while the card is installed. without the card the integrated works. the bios has no option to turn off integrated or turn on pci-e. very limited bios.

I'm curious if anyone has any ideas on what to do? cuz im out of ideas.

1| It's best if you gave us the full system's specs of your culprit system since it reads out to be like you're dealing with two system's or their parts in a mish mash of sorts. Please include the OS as well.
2| Have you made sure your GPU meets the minimum system requirements(power and PCI-E slots revision)?
3| Have you made sure the Acer system functions as it should? What is the make and model(SKU)?
