This is perfect but it doesn't come with a heatsink, would i be able to use one from a athlon ii x2 240?

That CPU is 65W so the cooler that came with it is probably not able of handling 95W. Plus, i'm sure it's noisy.
This, on the otehr hand, will do just fine: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

EDIT: While that is teh highest end AM3 CPU and your motherboard very likely supports it, do check the CPU support list on the manufacturers website. You may also need to do a BIOS update.

I've been using a Dell Inspiron 546 upgrading what i can when i can. I read somewhere that i might need to do something with c3 stepping, i dont know what it is but im guessing it makes it where i can have l3 cache thingy but i already have l3 support just with my athlon it says l3: n/a. also i think i do have the latest dell bios

With a prebuilt like that it's crapshoot unless we find someone with first hand experience. The normal MO would be to go to Dell and check what was the best CPU they sold it with and get that, but Dell have gracefully taken down that list. Open it up and tell me the exact model of the motherboard. It may be AM3 but it's BIOS may not recognise all such CPUs.
