Hello I have a Asus x99 A mother board. My PC was on I ran upstairs to let the dogs out. Came back down and my PC was off as if it were in sleep mode. Tried to power back on nothing works. Held power button and unplugged psu nothing. I have a red led on that says PWR LED and a green led on that says RST LED with buttons underneath both LEDs. Any idea what this may be or what I should do? I hesitated to try anything because I don't want to break anything lol. Thank you!!! Also my corsair CPU cooler tries to light up but then shuts off.

Edit: Motherboard shorted and killed my cpu. new motherboard and cpu and pc works fine now.

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's a good idea to pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your connected peripherals.

2| It's good to know that the issue was solved after an RMA but in retrospect it'd be much more helpful to you if you could locate the culprit for the mishap. Often times an unreliable or underpowered PSU can be capable of causing the issue stated above to compound or worse that you're running your system off the mains without a surge protector between the system and the wall outlet.

3| You should also verify if there is a grounding issue in your house/crib/room/wall outlet.
