is it possible? i got broken cpu heatsink fan, so its impossible to fire up the system, so i tho i can install the OS 1st in the hdd while waiting for new heatsink fan.

Hey there, yevekhziel.

If the motherboard is identical to the one you are going to use the Windows installation with, this might work. However it's never guaranteed 100% that it will be successful. You should make sure that both computers' motherboards have the same version of BIOS/UEFI and preferably the same chipset drivers etc.

Note that I'd always recommend a fresh install so it would be better if you could install it on the hard drive connected to the motherboard you are going to use it with.
