Lower game fps

I've been having some problems on Windows 7, my fps in steam games, like unturned and gmod have been utterly garbage. My pc isn't very good but I can usually pull a good 20 fps, but now I can't get more than 2 in online. The odd thing is that my performance in browser games has not changed. I'm not sure if an update changed a certain setting or what. I even installed a tool-thing that lowers the quality of things that are harder to lower-no effect. Please help.

What have you changed recently because you could revert it back to how it was before. What hardware is your PC running. Find this out then go to the manufactures/OEM website and ONLY the manufactures/OEM website of each part. Go download the latest non-beta drivers for that part for Windows 7, make sure they are 32bit for 32bit Windows and 64bit for 64bit Windows if they are available in 64bit. Also you could download CCleaner and clean up any old/temp files etc on the system and disable some start up programs so there will be less processes using system resources. Hopefully 1 or 2 of these things help you out.
