Hi,
I recently (after about a year) decided to turn on my old PC.
When it was booting it made a long beep (till it turned off by itself).
The display was showing regular loading commands and then it wrote something about overclocking or something wrong with PSU.
I opened up the case and saw that when I turn it on I sometimes get "89" error and most of the times it writes "PS".
I'm assuming it as something to do with the PSU failing but from what I read, 89 means incompatible CPU, which is quite odd, considering this PC worked just fine the last time I had it working.
I'd be glad for your help cause I couldn't find anything on google.

Thanks,

Barak.

Is this the motherboard under scrutiny? If so according to the manual, page 113,
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
(unless there are other short beeps you didn't take heed of).

+ Page 118
89h
1. Assign IRQs to PCI devices
2. Set up ACPI table at top of the memory

^ Might I ask of your full system's specs inclusive of your OS? You may wan to breadboard and see if the error is apparent.
