Hello all,

I just installed Kraken G10 and Corsair H75 on sapphire R9 290X and everything worked fine until I turned on Dota2 to give it a try. After the dota app started, suddenly there was a weird loud buzzing noise which lasted for like 5s and then the monitor went to sleep mode. I tried turning the PC on and off couple times but the monitor was still in sleep mode. The gpu temp was in the low 30 for idle and about 50 when I did the stress test with OCCT right before the crash. Thus, i dont think it is because of the fault of the hardwares. The monitor works fine when i connect it to my laptop.

What seems to be the problem of this situation?

Solution
might have been the fitting, but I dont know how... I have used the Kracken G10 and its pretty straight forward.

You could try and RMA the card with the manufacturer.

I put the stock cooling back to the gpu but the monitor is still in sleep mode. The cooling fan that connects to the GPU works though, so I dont think the card is fried. It could be the driver issues but im not sure. Im pretty new to building PC so this is a big head-scratching foe me

Take the card out and try plugging the monitor into the motherboard and see if it works on integrated graphics.

Im using the MSI 970 ATX motherboard, which does not have the intergeated graphic. Im planning to install the GPU to my friend's PC and see if it will work.

I tested the card on my friend's PC and nothing showed up on the screen so I think it's fried like you said. Is this caused by fault in installation or the incompatibility of the Kraken G10 with the card? I did a lot of researches online and seems like this problem I have had is the first.
